Any musicians here?

Who here plays a musical instrument? What style do you play? Have you been in a band? Any recordings?

I play a bunch 'o stuff. Mainly guitar & piano, but I'm currently learning the violin. Blues, classical, rock, & jazz are what I lean toward. My biggest influence would have to be Stevie Ray Vaughn.

I am kind of a savantish musician. I grew up in a music store that my grandparents owned so whatever I pick up I can usually play and play well. Although for some reason the guitar is giving me trouble. Then again, I don't have alot of time to practice. but one day the world will hear my music and weep with joy...

oh sorry. Carry on!!!

I play guitar and drums. well I should say "played" getting my phd, and riding now eat up most of my free time. I used to be in a band and we did some shows but never got the $$ for studio time.

I used to play the sax and piano but now its mainly drums. Tried picking up guitar but its too hard to remember all the finger positions. Drums are what i started with anyways but the band instructor didnt want me in perc. I play mainly rock and right now me and my friends have a rock band together for the school talent show.

Polka on a banjo..... actually I can't play, I can pick a little of "Dueling Banjo's", and the beginning of "Sweet Home Alabama". You should hear that on a banjo, it's cool.

I am not musically inclined, but I have sang in a few bands... I am an ok singer... surely not American Idol, but I can hold a tune and scream like a champ... in key... People said I sounded like a cross between Scott Weiland and Jonathan Davis... I haven't done it in about 5 years and my lack of practice and lots of smoking have taken it's toll...

Side note... Every band I have ever been in has had trouble getting drummers... This thread already has 3...

I play. Bass is my first love. I can play guitar and drums. I've done several studio recordings. I am currently playing drums in an old school hardcore band.

i played the flute and a lil piano when in school, still have my flute but havent played in years...i mainly stuck to singing, about 7 years in top notch school choirs, from tenor (mens voice part) up to soprano i or II,

I can impersonate Allison Krause really well and as I age i think my voice has gotten better, then again maybe i just quit caring who heard me and started singing out...

i love all music...except rap...classical, bluegrass, country, punk, ska, used to be big into death metal...etc etc
