I stay in fighting form by eating lots of cheeseburgers.

We’re just starting to get back to the gym lately after a (very long) hiatus. Luckily for us, time isn’t as much of an issue, so we just try to go 3-4 times per week, usually in the evenings after work.

Typically, we do about 30 min of cardio (treadmill; and I do mine on a steep incline to burn the buns), and then about an hour of weights (both free weights and the machines). We do chest/shoulders/upper back one night, arms/legs/back the next session (and we squeeze abs in whichever nights we’re not totally whipped ), and alternate between the workouts to give each group of muscles time to recuperate.

We used to go to World Gym (total meathead gym), but recently switched to Bailey’s Powerhouse (still a few meatheads, but for the most part just normal people, and less of the ones that are there just to see and be seen)

That's kinda my problem.. I TRY to be conscious of it, but we go out frequently, and in all honesty, I LOVE food and drink... So I gotta do something about it before it turns me into a blimp.

i love food too, so i don't restrict myself. i eat what i want, but i watch how much i consume. that has been working for me so far. i made a steadfast commitment to fitness last january (i know, how hokey is that) and i stuck to it. i've dropped about 15 lbs. since then and have kept it off nearly a year now. i mainly focused on exercise, i didn't diet. but i did make better food choices, i altered my diet a bit.

I kinda have a different goal set up... and it's two-fold.

1.) I want to have some semi-nude/nude b&w pics taken for my 35th birthday next year. So I want to be in spectacular shape for that (I had wanted to do this for my 30th, and .. well.. went through my divorce that year, so )

2.) Eventually I intend to have kids (hopefully) so again, I want to make sure I'm in the best shape possible before getting pregnant, so it'll be easier to bounce back.

Portion control is the most important thing. When you go out to dinner, you have like 2 or 3 servings. No wonder so many peole are fat in this country. The portions you get a resteraunts are enomous. Eat every 2-3 hours, small healthy snacks. Never eat within 3 hours of going to bed and eat a protien with every meal.

those are some good objectives! i have a friend that got tasteful bedroom pics for her husband for their anniversary. she has the perfect body. i have too many body issues, i'd never be confident enough to do that, no matter how much exercising i do or how much weight i lose. there's always room for improvement somewhere, at least in my head there is.

Ah, for me it's not about achieving perfection, it's just about making it firmer and more toned... I'm comfortable with my body the way it is, but that's not to say I wouldn't like it MORE if it were a bit tighter.
