Well happy holidays offends me? How you like that?

I am sick and tired of this PC happy holidays BS.
When I wish some one merry Christmas I am not saying ‘ you must be like me and celebrate the same holiday as I do’ I am saying ‘this is what I celebrate, I wish you good cheer’. I have no issues with someone telling me happy Hanukah or what ever. But happy holidays seems like such a blanket white wash of what the season should be…. Marketing.

Grrrr

Who else is sick of this PC BS?

you can't please everybody, so why try to. people get offended too easily nowadays.

when you turn your bike on, does it return the favor?

I hate "happy holidays" myself. I celebrate Christmas. It might be ehtno-centric of me to wish others a Merry Christmas, but ya know what? Oh friggin' well. If someone else chooses to wish me a Happy Hannukah, or a Blessed Kwanzaa, or even a Shiny Festivus, so be it! I won't be offended, nor should anyone else be when I say "Merry Christmas."

And another thing... I LIKE Christmas music, dammit. I get so tired of people bitchin' about Christmas music. Don't like it? Shop before November, or change the station. It's as simple as that. But don't ruin it for the rest of us just cus you've got a lump of coal up your *ahem* asp.

/end rant

And one more thing.... Just because I enjoy lights, decorations, shopping and the music of the season does NOT mean I've lost sight of the true meaning of the holidays. Excuse the hell outta me if I still savor these things with childlike glee.

i love xmas music too. it always puts me in a good mood. i listen to nothing else from black friday til xmas.

and what do y'all think about using xmas to abbreviate christmas? does it take christ outta christmas? is it disrespectful?

when you turn your bike on, does it return the favor?

ME TOOO!!! There's a station here that starts playing Christmas music at like 8:00 p.m. Thanksgiving night, and doesn't stop till New Year's Day. I looooove it!!

Ah... It might be disrepectful, but there's a natural tendency to abbreviate stuff when you're typing it out... everyone does it, so I don't really think it's a big deal.

I cant stand the music.

Its like the same 4 songs over and over again. I dont know how a radio station can go on playing the same songs over and over again... oh wate... thats what they all do....

guess I just figgured out why I hate almost all radio.

Its ok, not hating on the music that much, just get sick of it quick.

for me xmas is just quicker and I dont have to worrie about spelling it wrong.

Nah, if it's a GOOD station, they dig up all the old classic stuff.... it's wonderful, and just puts me in a good mood.

(but I agree with the idea that by and large, commercial radio sucks donkey parts).

Nah, the best is a cover of the Grinch theme by Hip Heavy Lip. Holy crap, it's sooo good, and just classic. Never tire of that one.

I love that one, and also the blink 182 song 'I wont be home'

"its christmas time, again.
time to be nice to the people you cant stand, all year.
Im growing tire of all this christmas chear.
you people scare me.
Please stay away from my home.
If you dont want to get me down, just leave the presents and then leave me alone."
