Last night, we’re out running errands and Christmas shopping. I was talking with some woman (also shopping) in the toy department in a store, and SOMEHOW we got to talking about the expense of “toys” for adult children (i.e. husbands/boyfriends) being so much more than that of toys for kids.
ANYWAY…… She was telling us how her husband (Jason) used to have a motorcycle, but he got rid of it shortly before the birth of their first child. She was saying that her next door neighbor’s son (who was 4 at the time) was just heartbroken over the bike being gone (he loved it). He asked Jason, “Why did you get rid of your motorcycle?” and Jason replied, “Because (my wife) is having a baby.”
So every day when Jason would get home from work, the little boy would run over there, “Did she have the baby yet?” and each day, Jason would reply, “No, not yet….” To which the little boy would respond, “SEE? You could have been riding your motorcycle still.” And he’d turn and go home.
:BAHA: BWAAA HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA……
I’m sure getting rid of his bike was traumatic enough, but to have a 4 year old pour salt in his wounds every day is just
(and FWIW, she said they now have three kids…. And Jason still doesn’t have a new bike).
