35 lights @ $6.99 = ~$0.20 per light

100 lights @ 5.99 = $0.06 per light

Yes, yes I know the lifespan of an LED is much longer than a regular bulb, but you can buy extra sets of the traditional lights, pay extra for electricity and still come out ahead unless you factor usage over a decade.

I like LEDs. They will eventually come down in price. It's just new for most. I had a homemade LED decoration (UT Power T in orange) on my cap during college graduation. Yes, I know I am a dorky EE. Wait til after christmas, they will be cheap.

U know they sell those in the hat stores? I need to get me one of those...

Anyways with Trip, prices will come down over time. There is a demand for low energy consuming electronics and I think they will rise in popularity in the future. That is pretty high for right now tho...wonder how theyre selling?

I have seen them in the stores and all.

My brother in law has a set and said he's not impressed.

My thing is this... I swear that what usually makes a strand of lights to fail is the wiring not the bulb! The whole damn thing is just put together so poorly. So for me... nope!

I was acutally thinking of throwing out all my little lights and going to old school C9 bulb strands!
