Well, after this weekend of cleaning the garage, I will be having a nice little project to work on. Once I have that done, I am going to have me a nice 79 CB750 to play around on.

I used to work in Bellingham, Washington. It is Whatcom County...Mt Baker is 10K ft and holds the record for most snowfall in a year...

From the Bellingham Herald...

Mt. Baker Ski Area

Snow was deep and dry champagne powder Monday at the Mt. Baker Ski Area.

It was so deep in places that managers were asking people to take special precautions.

Skiers and snowboarders who were in bounds but off the groomed runs were asked to keep in visual and voice contact with a partner at all times.

Riders on Chair 6, which provides access to expert runs, were required to have a transceiver, a partner and a shovel to get on the chair.

“People understand these are very unique conditions, and a very unique storm cycle,” said spokeswoman Gwyn Howat.

The ski area was open for normal mid-week operation, which means all but chairs 1 and 2 were open.

Opening Chair 6 was delayed by avalanche control work, said Howat, who had just taken a run off that chair. Monday evening, the area was reporting 96 inches of new snow in four days, and 142 inches of snow in the past week, creating a 125-inch base at Heather Meadows.
“Today was a once-in-a-lifetime experience in terms of conditions,” Howat said. “I will remember this one for sure.”

To give you an idea of how much snow has fallen...following is the ski report for surrounding areas...notice that most locations have 50 or less inches as a base...compared to 125 at Mt. Baker

Be glad you don't have to be shoveling that to get out of the driveway...
