I was getting some strange questions from someone once, I ignored them. I also have been ignored on several occassions, the most recent as seen in my sig. Never messed with the buddy list though.

I use them on other boards, but not so much here (I think I've actually added a few people to my 'buddy' list, but since I never go to the home page, I never see who's on).

On other boards (huge/crazy busy ones, where it's not so easy to search for someone by screenname in the event you wanna PM them) I have about 6 people on my buddy list.

And on another board, I've used "ignore" quite a bit, just to tune out posters I find annoying,

I meant your buddy list is displayed on the home page, and it'll show who (if any) of your buddies are online at the time.

I used it awhile back when a forum member really got on my nerves. I had put him on my ignore list, but then later removed him. He seems to have slightly changed his posting style, so he doesn't bug me near as much as he did before.

So by putting someone on the ignore list, can you not see their posting...
