ughhh my day keeps getting worse

so i get a call from the gf who is on the way home from florida, that she was pulling into a motel in maryland and her car got hit by a drunk driver

then the guy gave her and her friends his info and left the scene, so now the cops are looking for him and they still havnt even showed up to see her and her friends. She is 7 hours away and i might have to make the trip down there tonight

i hope everything gets taken care of, all i wanna do is see her tommorow

Man that **** sucks. Feb 13th this year... I remember cause it was the day before V-Day. My wife called me when she got out of work like she always does. Well this day it had snowed like no other... I was going to tell her to take her time and be carefull. But she tells me that she just got t-boned pulling out of her work parking lot. I jump off the couch and tell her I'll be there as fast as I can. My heart is jumping out of my chest! And I know that it will realisticly take me well over a hour to get there with traffic and the snow. But she said she was fine, the car was drivable so she'd see me at home. I tell her to BE CAREFULL. I was proud of her for driving home after such a accident. The 17yr old girl hit her right in the drivers side. my wife was noticablly shaken by it all.

So I understand... If I lived down there I'd help more. Good luck!

It sucks, i havnt seen her in 10 days and it just keeps getting longer and longer. My buddy might ride down with me, here car seems to be ok, just cosmetic damage, but still shes a girl and she is freaking out

I'm guessing he took off to avoid DUI charges. By the time they find him, he won't be drunk any more.

A couple of years ago Drunk driver was swerving back and forth across a two lane road and my cousin was driving towards him and he suddenly swerved into her lane and she was forced to swerve and run into a ditch then bounce out and run head on into her neighborhoods concrete sign. she was less than a min fom home. that really pissed me off. hope everything turns out okay and that ******* gets caught, cause the guy that made my cousin crash never got caught.

at the minimum when the guy IS caught, he's gonna be probably REQUIRED to show up in court for that one. here, leaving the scene is a 2nd degree misdemeanor punishable by 2 months in the county jail. hopefully its a harsher punishment up there though.
