I remember the place when I was a kid. I remember everybody shopping there for everything!

I don't think I have seen a Monkey Wards open since the early 90's... The one in my home town was replaced by JC Penny's...

They had one in Portland for a long time... it was there when I moved back to Oregon from CT.... so arround 97-98... I think it closed arround then...

We used to have a place just simular to Wards also... called Service Merchandise. They fel to the same fate... online shopping only

Don't remember Wards, but do remember Service Merchandise. That's where I got my first shotgun YEARS ago. My grandma bought it for me when I turned 16. Still have that gun.

Surrender the booty, and let me get my hands on that beautiful treasure chest!!

One of these days, I'll actually buy a bike again...

Oh yeah.. for years both Wards and Service Merchandise were in the same strip mall. My aunt worked there at SM and I use to buy all my jewerly there.
