Noobie needs advice...

Hey guys,

I've been lurking awhile and this seems like a good board. I am considering getting a 07 ZX-14 as my first bike. I live in South Carolina, so I don't have to wear a helmet. I plan on wearing flip flops, shorts, and a wife beater all summer, it's going to be great. I like hitting the bar right before a ride too! So what color should I get, I was thinking blue to match my eyes and my flip flops.

Ok, so I was bored and hadn't seen a thread like this in awhile.

I was totally gonna go with it and tell you to buy the lite weight paint and new blinker fluid before you take it out.

Make sure you put a turbo or run some NOS on it.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I weigh 235 lbs so the liter bikes don't have the hp to get me going.

With that much weight I think your gonna need to extend the swing arm and put a 400 on the rear...

I hear you can pull a wheelie at 180 mph if you're running race fuel...let me know how it works out for you.

Definitley need a supercharger then.

And silver adds 10 mph! Just cut that old exhaust off, you don't need it and it's sounds cooler

Yeah but stickers will add at least 50hp at the wheel.

If you add "Yamaha" on the side of it you may be able to get it to fly...

Oh and if you're having any problems with the wheelies... try the true BLUE way of a GREAT wheelie. A few things first. Take off your blue jean jacket and hoody cause they will drag/slow you down and rob your hp. Then get a buddy to video tape it. Now... with the bike at a stop and in first gear, clutch in... rev it till it bangs off the rev limiter. Hold it there for 30 seconds, dump the clutch and hold on!!

Report back to us with your FANTASTIC results!

you dont need more than a liter bike! They got this great new mod out, its called a rocket. Just bolt this bad boy to the back of your bike. get up to about 100mph, strap in (or dont its more freeing) and flip the switch! You definitely get a rush when your going mach 2!

Ouch that hurts the S.C. kids but unfortunately your right. Not many helmet wearers around here and if they do then they have shorts, t-shirt, and rainbows on.
