Seriously... I am only good at a few games... Tiger Woods used to be one of them... I picked up '07 for Xbox because I haven't owned a Tiger Woods game for a couple years (old roommate up and move to Vegas with my PS2 version of '04).

Anyway, everything sorta fell back into place... then I noticed my putting was way off... I used the old way (alternate) with the caddy tips... Sometimes it says 8in left, 10in long... Then you crank it 10 feet past the hole... Or come up short by 2ft... I thought then, maybe I lost my touch...

Then I noticed that the accuracy of the anouncers was totally wrong... "He's not gonna like this" then you are dead center of the fairway... Even the heartbeat was screwed... I'd get a heartbeat on a shot that I totally botched, yeah it'd end up close, but in the old version a heartbeat almost ALWAYS meant it's in the hole...

So my GF and I are playing it tonight, she putts... an amazing shot... it goes in... Then "OUT OF BOUNDS"? She tells me then that the other day when I wasn't around she drove long, landed in the rough, but the next shot she was placed literally within 10 feet of the tee...

I have never been so disappointed in a video game in my entire life... If I had bought it, rather than rented it, I would seriously drive to EA Sports and mushroom stamp each one of the programmers foreheads...

Anyone got an extra copy of '04 for Xbox?

I had '04 for PS2... From what I have been reading online the series peaked at '04 and has started sucking more and more each year...

i pick up each new year, and without fail i've allready started dominating the tour within the first two months... its just too damn easy, not to mention unrealistic...

ever seen a pro put sidespin on an aproach shot to the green??? no, because its called a slice or a hook. I've waited a long time for a golf game that can rival tiger woods in simulation. But then again i dont really care, i usually play at least 9 holes every week in the summer, and with my new country club job i'm sure i'll get more time in.

You've dominated '07?

My problems...
#1 - If I wanted to suck at golf, I'd buy a set of clubs and go with my buddies on the weekend...
#2 - 99% of my playing is multi-player...
#3 - I am sure that I could get used to the differences, but it's the glitches that were the final straw...

yea, i dominated '07 on playstation 3. within 4 hours of playing i was sick of the game b/c the nearest competitor on the tour was 15 strokes behind me by the cut.

multiplayer is really the only good aspect of the game. but to be honest i played this game so much that unless you are a nut you wont stand a chance against me.

A lot of my tiger skill probobly comes from my obsession w/ real golf though... I shoot in the low 80's and break 70 now and again in real life, so when everything is automated for you on a TV screen its not too hard.
