poetry anyone?

just curious, does anyone else on here write poetry? I just discovered that I enjoy pouring my soul into poems and using them as an outlet for my feelings at the time.

I dont particularly like that crap. poetry is just my creative outlet, and I feel good doing that.

I used to, when I had more time/motivation. Do you write freestyle poetry or follow form?

Someone got one of my poems published in an anthology. I wouldn't suggest it, I get tons of junk mail now.

I just write haikus that give you an idea how I'm feeling that day, or what I'm thinking about.

Honestly, if someone supports what I feel, or the things I do, thats great, if they dont support something I decide is what I wish to do, oh well I'm still gonna do what makes me happy.

poetry is like a drug to me, but much more constructive and creative. oh yeah and legal.

Poetry, fag? Dude, Keats is the man. He is one of my heroes. (Ok, maybe that doesn't sound so tough coming from someone called twain. I should change it to something more manly like Hemingway.)

Personally, I'm a fan of Byron. He's manly, every poem he wrote for a woman was for a different one!

And let us not forget Burns. Without him there would be no drunken signing of Auld Lang Syne on the new year and on the 25. Plus the quoting of Red Red Rose has caused many "a bonnie lass" to look at me with wonderment. At least I think it was wonderment. It could have just been pity.

I'm not one to go to poetry readings, or go read a book of poetry, but I do write it from time to time. Hvae to be in the correct mood, with something on my mind that I really need to express, and can't figure out a better way.
I have had a couple of mine published, kind of a cool feeling, know millions of people will get the chance to hear/read your words.
