Personally I'd go with the plain WRX... save money in insurance and it's still got 230+ hp and a few thousand less than the STI

Man a buddie of mine had a WRX, It was really a pretty slow car...Like V6 mustangs were dead on races....
STi- With a few little mods give LS1's (z28/transam's) runs

??? the WRX my best friend had whooped on any V6 stang or camaro... it would give a GT Mustang and a Z28 Camaro a good run... but loose every time... he tried often...

the LS1 is in the SS not the Z28's...

a STI is 300hp and 300ft lbs... it'd WHOOP on a SS camaro.

dude, I'm like a LS1 lover... haha

1993-1997 Z28's were LT1 ---around a 14 sec car

98-02 LS1....low 13's--And sorry to burst your bubble but a SS from those years is only a ram air hood and suspension...No difference in motor.

Hmmm... I remember the older Stangs (like the one I posted and prior) to be faster than the Maro's of the same gen... Especially when you are talking pre-90's...

Either way I think the Maros got ugly about 25 years ago and never came back... Pure Stangs have gone through spells, like the '93/94 body change...

Yeah, '93 Cobra... I only wish it were mine... Other than the early 70's, I think that Cobra is the purest of the sickness, though the new ones and the last body type are freakin' money too...

I was sure the LS1's were only in the SS...

but this is what I found doing a little search for Camaro Specs 2002 in first range is hp (red) torque is the second (blue
ohv V8 5.7 / 350 275-310 325-340

ohv V8 5.7 / 346 305-325 335-350

I know they're the same "size" but I thought that's the diffrence between the SS and the Z28...

Same motor block and everthing after 00.....pre 00 the SS had a LS6 intake wich came from the Z06 vette...
10 Hp....Came from a lid you got on the air intake because of the "ram" air....
I always though the Ram air was so cool but it is hardly functional.

Exact same motors just one small thing.
