Messed up my knee BIG TIME!

I was stunting last nite and ended up twisting my left knee then as it is twisted the bike came down on it. I was trying something new that I have never tried before (since the guy that helps me and my boy were there, felt no harm on a nice nite trying a new stunt). As I was doing it, my foot caught on the seat, twisted my knee in the process, pulled the bike down ( I was going about 30 or so mph) and in the process, bike lands on twisted knee.

Reason I am writing this you ask? I am wondering if ANYONE has any suggestions on making this one feel better. I am wearing an icey-hot sports brace on it, but it doesnt seem to help AT ALL since the pain is very enternal under the knee cap.

All suggestions are well taken into consideration at this point!

*NO PAIN NO GAIN!*

Try to keep your knee elevated and put ice first that will contol the swelling, and then use heat that brings in the circ. Also take an IB pro. If you're still having pain after that it wouldn't hurt to get a MRI to make sure you didn't tear the tendon on your pattella (knee cap).....

Yeah, i've tried the whole ice, heat, elevation thing, and all that good jazz that goes along with any good injury that we get going for "having a meeting with the road" in any way.

I am thinking that I may have to go have it looked at. (once again, back to the er,,they know me by now I think). I have 800mg IB's, I have 2 vicodin from an old injury (those just made me stoned) and I tried a few muscle relaxers. Those did not help either.

Thanx anyways! *ouch*

I wish that that would work for me this time around,,normally it does. I take a day or 2 off, elevate, wear the brace, and wa la..everything is all good and i'm out riding, but I dont think it's going to be that easy this time around =(

You really need it checked out if that course of treatment is doing NO good at all.

I'm thinking about finishing up what I have to do here (since I'm just sitting) then going to get it looked at. I cant risk getting more severe damage on a knee that is already supposed to be replaced 10 years ago.

If the meds you are taking now are outdated they maybe a little weak. Trust me I work in surgery and we get people that come in for scopes all the time with jacked up knees. Alot of them are worst because they let them go by thinking that it will get better later. The worst thing that can happen is a young babe coming in for a total knee.

That reminds me of Major Payne.... [break a finger and the pain in your knee will go away] if you've done all the natural things to relieve your pain... time to go Ol'School... and Mr. Daniels is a great pain reliever.... (but that's just me) but I'm sure your doctor knows best...

well what can i say? It needs to heal. DEFINITELY go get it checked out Because you dont want it to end up being something serious and you strain it even more and there goes ur knee fxcked for life.

ya, ice will help a little on swelling but if it's ligament damage the ice won't help the pain.

you need to get it checked out asap...knees aren't anything to neglect.

so what stunt were you doing? 30mph is pretty quick to be stepping off a bike.

saying dont stunt to experianced rider that wants to stunt is worthless. Say stop racing motocross to a dirt bike racer see how far you get. Most likely punched in the face for being a lamo. Some of you need to shake some sand from your pu55ys. Sorry to poke your bubble of protection. I skateboard, ski/snowboard backcountry(no trails), down hill mountain bike(hit trees with body), dirtbike, quads, parachute, fast rope, get shot at, get blown up(thank you armor), and from time to time find a minute to ride the R6 for thrills. Give yourself a ball check to see if their still hangin.
