Determined to get in shape...and maybe kick a little ass.

...Or get my ass kicked. I decided to sign up for some Muay Thai training. I got a buddy at work who is going now and he had no intentions of talking me into it, but I decided I'm gonna take it as well. It's a ways off base. The most I'll do as fighting is concerned is sparring. That includes everything but elbows. I could actually fight fight, like no head gear, elbows, the whole nine. but it wouldn't be good for my military career. I'm really only using it as a means to get in shape. $150 to sign up and $80 a month after that. Next Monday I'm gonna attend the class (usually 2 1/2 hours) for free and the Wednesday after that too. If I like it, I'm gonna sign up. I plan to get worked like I've never been worked before. Should be interesting.

Have fun seems like something interesting to learn while you are out there and cant ride. How is that working out for you? Having major withdrawals?

It sucks. Plain and simple. Watching MotoGP is keeping me sane.

prepare to be hooked, it's as addictive as sportbikes Your feet will be blistered & everything else will be sore & ache. If u can buy boxing gloves there & foot shin pads before u start class, I highly recomend it, u dont want to have to use old gear left behind in the gym on your first day. dont forget the cup, nothing worse than sparring with other newbs...they have no control & are all over the place.

Here's a good link to get gear from:

How many days a week you go? I'm thinking of starting 3 days a week. Mon, Wed, Fri. What's gona suck is coming home from class and going to work for 8 hours.

Haha i wish i had time for all that stuff in the army. By the time I head home most days around 1900(being an NCO and doing it right is a hard job) all i can think of food maybe a little TV and bed time ready to start it all again with that evil 0500 alarm.

I try to go atleast 3times a week if work allows, but I definitely make it a point not to miss Saturdays.
