New puppy!!

My fiancé and I are taking the next step in the relationship.. parent hood.
OK so its not as sappy as that.
The little woman decided a month ago that it would be best to get a puppy now, that way it can learn from her two dogs for a few years until we get married and move. I dismissed this as one of her many whims until she kept on it.
We started doing research and she found a breeder about 200 miles away that had a litter 6 weeks ago. Last Sunday we went down and took a look at the puppies.

About an hour later we were back on the road after leaving behind the pup and a deposit with a promise to be back next week to pick him up (breeders wont let the dogs go until they are 7 weeks old.)

So here are pics of the puppy we chose.

He is a papers backed Boston terrier. His mother is a light build 20lb, and his father is a stout 30lb. We are hoping he will be a happy medium. He was the most level of the litter, didn’t like being flipped over on his back but didn’t struggle nearly as much as his chunky bigger brother. Not the runt but not the alpha. And best of all not the most hyper but playful none the less.

I just cant wait to get the little guy home!

After seeing the mother, we decided to name him Gizmo; because the mom reminded us of a gremlin!!

Aw. We talk about getting a dog every now and then but I doubt it will happen for quite a while. With our cats we can leave for a long weekend and don't have to find sitters. Dogs are higher maintenance and we are just too selfish with our time .

I love Shiba Inus!!
I never considered a Boston until the girlie brought it up.
I always thought Id end up with an Inu, a corgi or an Australian Sheppard.

I dig the pup I think he’s a perfect fit.
