Ignore/Invisible Lists

I visit lots of sites here and there, and I've found that nearly every site has some people I've got to have removed from my viewing because they're so amazingly abrasive (this site is a rare exception). Anyone else use their lists frequently?

Maybe I just have a lower tolerance for personal attacks than most, seeing them as a clear absence of intellect :dunno:

I see a thread title here.... but no post?

Haha, just foolin kan...

but seriously, I have never used any of the ignore features on any forums I have been too... used to use mIRC a lot too, and never ignored anyone there either... I think I just deal with all the same crap in everday life with my circle of friends and people I work with.. I think i'm just used to the rude and childish behavior that you'll run into from time to time

It's ironic sometimes. I've seen people like that and point them out immediately as being trolls. Then I get repremanded for calling a board user a troll. Oddly enough, they get banned a few weeks later for being a troll. That's happened 3 times.

Maybe your login should be "Swami" or something similar

Yeah, I've done the administrative thing and realized that you shouldn't use it then, but its truly easier to deal with the flamers/trolls when you can warn them officially.

Hmmm....I'm a moderator of a couple lists and groups and I think in the past two years....I've only ever had to ban 3 people. And as far as ignoring people....I think the last time I did that was when I used to chat in the chat rooms like 5 years ago. Usually I get along with people.

im a mod over on another forum as well, but before that one came about, its original state had to ban several members for name calling, and just general troll/nuisance behavior, about the way the finances of the board were run. UGH ! thats what happens when you start asking for donations and everybody and their brother wants to be the one to run it !!

thank God, we dont have that ***** there now, or here....

People that are ignorant are idiots! I can't stand people who bash others or are abrasive and abusive. I've always had the philosophy that, if you respect me then you will get nothing but respect back. And those who don't, I just say, "FU" and be on my merry way.
