If a tree falls in your back yard...

... and you are posting on TWF does it make a sound???

the answer is YES!!!

I was just about to post something and heard a reaaaaaaaaaaly loud BANG!

I go outside to see my neighbor outside scratching his head staring at one of my two joined trees laying across my fence and into their yard about three feet short of hitting their deck. They thought that it was me outside lighting off some fireworks...

What pisses me off the most is that I have pretty much just took over the job of taking care of the house from my 93 year old grandfather who recently had a mini stroke and had to move in with my parents... He just had a guy out here a month ago because I had pointed out that the tree had some dead branches.... the arborist drilled into the tree and did his assessment and said that he would have to come bace in a couple of weeks to do more testing... well this is three and a half weeks ago and he hasn't showed up yet... I called him up and in a pretty pissed off voice told him that he needs to be here tomorrow morning ASAP! he stated that he had other jobs that he had slated and would see when he could get down here and then I asked him if any of the other customers he has to see tomorrow have grounds to sue his ass...

he will be here tomorrow at 7:30 am!!!

for reference the trunk of the tree that snapped is so big that I can't even fit my arms around it... by looking at where it is broken 95 percent of the tree is poreous due to carpenter ants eating it away. How the guy missed this is beyond me.

Needless to say I need to get the tree removed and the yard cleaned up (starting with the neighbors). I also have to replace a fence that goes along our property. It was a cheap wire style fence so I think a nice PVC fence will look much better...

I know but i will see what I can do tomorrow if there is time in the daylight .....

REMBER THOSE WHO ARE NO LONGER WITH US AND KEEP THEM IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND YOUR HEARTS.

My folks house has lots of trees we have arborists keep tabs on all of them for the past 20 years since when I was a baby at our old house we had a huge motherflucker come through our roof...

glad you're alright
