The Story behind your screen name

Lets hear the story behind why or how you picked your screen name.

I came up with mine from the bike I ride and letter of first and last name.

Ya know what DJ? I was just thinking of putting up this thread just the other day. Looks like ya beat me to it!
So anyways, I have TMJ, and my jaws are always crunching, so Matt calls me crunchie (he had to spell it differently) and used my son's first letters from his first and middle name.

Junior year in college I went from 190lbs to 250lbs in like 6 months thanks to and quittin baseball. My fraternity brothers started calling Big Fat Burgener which got shortened to Fat Burgener which got shortened to Fatburg. My close friends call me that to this day.

Twisty's name was given to him by me!!

Mine came from 2 different reasons...

1. I know more about gasoline than you could ever imagine and work in the gas industry...

2. I have ran out of gas once at the track...and yes I paid the fine to myself!!

I picked my name CharlieMav because I LOVE the movie Top Gun. And CBR is the bike I would love to own. So it just kinda stuck.

Mine is really easy my last name has a lot to do with my nickname. My nickname has been Tippy for as long as I can remember and its stuck everywhere I go. I dont even tell people about it and they start calling me Tippy after they meet me.

I am not currently riding, although I have ridden, mostly on my dad's Sportster. I hope that doesn't make me less cool on this board, or anything since you guys are speed-based.

I am looking at getting a sportsbike though. I have heard a lot of good things about Kawis, but a newer one may be out of my price range. A lot depends on how much money I can build up until next Spring.

I am very happy I found your board. I've lurked on that one really big board, but it's a much wilder place and I am laid-back and want a laid-back atmosphere, like is here.

there's others on this board who ride or have rode cruisers before.. I did back in the day. as long as you ride, thats all that matters in the end.. alot of us speed freaks or twisty freaks, or both. We love to ride, no matter what. Dont worry, u wont lose face on this board just cuz u rode a cruiser b/4.

you can find killer deals on used bikes, that look and run brand new. I got my 2000 katana back in august for a song...there are tons of deals to be had..and IMHO, buying pre-owned is a great way to go. just do your homework on the bike(s) ur lookin at, and take someone along when you go looking that can check it over if need be.

and take an MSF course, u wont regret !
