People from PA

Okay, so I was gonig to drive up to NY this Sunday for a day trip but apparently it is Gay pride week and the march is on sunday. Because of the march, NY is most certainly out of the question now because its gonig to be packed and a real pain in the neck to get in and out of the city.

That being said, I have decided to go to Philadelphia instead. Im comign up sunday morning and going home sunday evening. I am making this thread to find out what I should do in Philly. What are some hot spots (going for site seeing) and also is there good shopping there? Is there anything I HAVE to check out and shouldnt leave the city without seeing? I know I need to get a cheesesteak and see the liberty bell but other than that i am at a loss. I have been there once before for the salvador Dali exhibit a couple years back and I did make it to Pat's and also Gino's but I didnt get to see anything else the city had to offer.

any help or advice is much appreciated!

i went to Pats and Gino's both and and thought they were overrated... looking for a hole-in-the-wall place that is excellent!

Seaside heights is my happy place!!! They have a boardwalk etc. You may be thinking of wildwood too. I prefer seaside. Midway SteakHouse on the boardwalk has the best cheesesteaks I have ever had and the best cheese fries.
