How much is your insurance?

How much do you pay per month and total? Also, what bike do you ride and how old are you? I'm curious as to how the quotes differ on bikes and age.

About $340/yr... but I don't know... My insurance chick quoted that, but said they were in the middle of re-evaluating things and that would probably go down...

Yup... Multi-vehicle discount... My dad's Honda Ridgeline, step-mom's Honda Accord, dad's HD Electra Glide Classic, my Ranger, my bike, plus their home owners insurance and my renters insurance... I think my dad might have the boat insured too... I was supposed to be off of my dad's insurance at age 23 or I was out of school whichever came first... I think they forgot.

All of y'all pay like $400 a YEAR!? I got a quote for a 00 Suzuki RX7 or something like that and it was $260 a month. I checked it on a 00 Ninja 500R and it's $487 a year.

How much coverage should I get for property, people, uninsured people and property? What's up with deductibles? Sorry to come to a forum for advice but my mother is busy /shrug

Mine is cheap because I'm old (33), married, have a clean record and have two cars and a house insured through the same carrier.

25 yrs old, 2003 R1 full coverage w/ $250 deductable was $575 a year ($47.92 Month)

I dropped it down to Liability earlier this year and they cought a ticket of mine.. even then it went down to $178.00 a year ($14.83 Month)

I'm going to cancel the policy soon since I just totally wrecked the bike last friday.

The insurance covered the bike in the first wreck last year which they paid the bike off, then I bought the bike back from the insurance company for $900. I spent all winter rebuilding the bike like new again. ]

Last Friday I wheelied over backwards and totalled out the bike again, however after the last wreck I dropped the insurance coverage down to liability...so no they won't cover the bike again. They probably wouldn't pay out on the same bike twice anyway.

I'm just going to part out the bike...make a few grand or so of what I can, then go buy a new bike this winter.

Sounds good man, not sure what else you can do honestly. This whole insurance business confuses me. I'm going to try to get my mom to explain it to me.

I got it through the agency my whole family uses. Had it on Erie for one weekend before I got everything sorted, and they wanted well over $1000 a year- that was on top of what I already pay them for my truck on the same policy. When it comes time to renew, I'll do more shopping around.
