I've noticed radio ads have gotten more and more... well... bizarre and dare I say TMI lately (Is it REALLY necessary to run radio spots for male.. er... excitement
)... but this one takes the cake:
The last few weeks, the alt-rock radio station here has been running ads for beoming a Surrogate mother. HUH???
The first one was a young woman talking about poor, unfortunate couples who can't have children, and how she's able to give them this great gift. Ok, odd, but not totally over the top.
But there's a new one airing today, that just had me
It's a married woman talking about bearing children for other couples, and how her husband looks at her in a new light because of her generosity "Which is something I really didn't expect...." (
Umm... wouldn't it be wise to discuss all aspects of this with your husband before carrying another couple's child??)
I have nothing against surrgoacy... it's a wonderful thing, I'm sure, for couples who are unable to conceive. But it's just such an utterly bizarre thing to ADVERTISE on the radio...
