To answer you question from the "other" forum....
Place your receptacle box in the location you want it. If you have to penetrate any wall studs-be sure and use kick plates over each stud where the wire is.
14 guage wire is good up to 15 amps. 12 guage=20 amps. Buy the proper breaker. Wire your receptacle first. Black wire to gold post-White wire to silver post and ground needs to go to the receptacle box with a pigtail to the receptacle on the green post. If you are using a plastic box-skip that step and go straight to the green post. DO NOT USE A PUSH IN TYPE RECEPTACLE. Use the screws. Run your wire and staple it to the studs. At the breaker box-punch the 1/2" knockout out and put a ROMEX connector in the hole. At this tile shut of the main breaker and test the bus for voltage with either a test light (****ty) or a meter (preferred). Snap your breaker in the empty position and connect the black wire to the breaker-white wire to neutral screw post and the green wire to the ground screw post. Put the cover back on and turn on the main. Check your receptacle for power.
Hope this helps.
