1408

I'm a sucker for scary movies, I have to see them right when they come out, I love em! Well we went and saw this one tonight and I LOVED it. If you are looking for a GOOD scary movie, and I'm not talking like boo scary, I'm talking like walking away at the end of it still trying to figure out how and why... then its the movie for you.

Pretty neat story line, about a guy who writes books about scary places and ghosts. He has someone send him a postcard to check out this room in the Dolphin Hotel in NYC, 1408. All while he doesn't believe in life after death due to a past experience of losing his daughter while she was young because of cancer. Well all his dispositions are tested when he stays in 1408.

That's all you get, and I totally recommend it!

that was filmed down the street from my house-not the hotel room scenes, but the post office scenes, all the beach scenes, etc.

this movie is captivating and it sucks you in, really a great story-but it wasnt scary at all 2 me, i thought it was hilarious (and kinda f'd up at times) what was happening to him, but im alil twisted

the chick i was with jumped a few times, so i guess it should scare some people

Loved this flick. We went and saw it opening night, and it's truly just a good suspense, eerie movie.... not your normal slasher flick... much more intelligently written than that.

This is the one based on the short story by King right? I hate when they make a movie out of something I have already read. I already know the end, takes the fun out of the movie. Oh well. I will still go see it, but they are never as good as I picture it in my mind while reading.

Sry but I seriously thoguht it was the lamest movie I ever seen. The directing was pure crap. No build up of suspense before any of the so called "scary" moments. Could have taken my 5 year cousin to it and seriously think he would of been laughing more of the time then being scared. Also see if you can answer me this> why was the room ever even haunted it the first place? Like I said the plot was shaky at best and the directing has serious flaws.

no..., they died because it was haunted. the was never one single reason as to why just that single room in the entire hotel was haunted. Like I said before, weak plot, poor directing, and very lame/no suspense horror moments equals in my eyes one crappy movie.

oh yea? mid 80's, early 90's?

they started making those 48 webers again a few years ago-the big stroker motors seem to be the thing now, more reliable on the street so i hear
