Cool, we are currently in the process of searching for a home to buy. I think we even own the one book they showed on the page, Knowing Your Credit!

we have the fanny mae book referenced in that link as well. UGH, searching for and buying a home has to be most humbling, irritating, depressing, and most downright mind-boggling thing on the planet!!

YES!! Owning your home is sooo nice. Allen and I have been in our house for 8 months now. And already have to put a coat of paint on the walls thanks to my daughter wanting to be an artist. BUT it isn't a big deal like it was at our old house. And the FACT You don't have to deal with a$$hole landlords is great. Not only, that but you can do anything you want to it.

I'm holding you to that! This has been so frustrating. If it's not me ready to give up, it's N4S. Btw, we have an appt. on Thurs. w/ a realtor to try again. But this time, I'm keeping my mouth shut....what they don't know won't hurt 'em!

You can hold me to that, to a bed, to a couch, or to anything you would like....

Good luck with the realtor, and it sounds like you're learning the game!!!

Condos are much harder to make money off of tho Chris. When I was looking...That is what made my mind up. I found a great condo but I didnt like how close to the other people you were. You will find that out when you try to sell it. Condos are sweet tho if you work alot and travel but there is to many limits on what you can do. You cant have a big dog, Change the look outside, or landscape...well atleast with the one I liked.

Condos stink especially if you have kids. We live in a Condo. It was nice when we moved in 3.5 years and our first son was only a few months old. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, but you can hear EVERYTHING from the neighbors above or below you. This is definitely a great choice for singles with out pets or children. However our search for the perfect home continues.... and truth be told.. we are having FUN looking for a home. Our problem is there are so many we like!!

I know I am having just as much fun looking. The only hard part is deciding on one. To many nice ones and not enough money to own them all.

This is true Twisty, but at least you're gaining something from your money! It's the interest paid on a mortgage is where you win when it comes to tax time!!
