Police Officer Steals $2.4 million worth of cocain.

DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit police say a narcotics officer is suspected of stealing $2.4 million worth of pure cocaine from the department's property room.

Chief Ella Bully-Cummings says the unidentified officer had the authority to sign out cocaine from the room.

She says he's suspected of replacing 13 pounds of uncut cocaine with another substance.

The 17-year veteran of the narcotics squad has been suspended with pay for now. So far, he hasn't been charged.

So I guess its true, cops always do have the best sh*t!. Oh and no charges?

I am going to guess the reason he hasnt had formal charges filed against him yet is because they dont have a solid case against him yet. Once charges are filed the judicial system goes into motion. Once they get more against him or there case organized then they will file charges.

As far as cops having the best **** its very true. I dated a girl whose dad was a police captain in Houston and he had a huge collection of pipes and bongs and some premo weed. I even sold him some electronics that were of 'questionable' origins. His wife was a huge coke head and her dealer was one of my really good friends (how I met her daughter). And dont think it was just him, a lot of his cop buddies would come over and party too. I have always figured if I am ever in trouble in Houston he would be a good guy to call for a favor lol. PS his daughter was a whore and cheated on me but this was many years ago so maybe she has changed but I doubt it.

Anyone ever hear about that KS highway patrolman that was stealing the drugs (mainly meth) off trafficers he pulled over and letting them go? Dude was making millions for a few years till he pulled over an undercover KBI (Kansas Bureau of Investigation) agent that was involved in the smuggling ring and stole his ****.

I have never liked cops much but have always tossed around the idea of becoming one. I figure I could be one of the few "cool" ones- and enjoy all the perks. Like speeding, using the safety lane as a passing lane, kicking peoples a$$es when they piss me off (and getting away with it), skimming from drug busts, ect ect. The other day I was in stop and go traffic- a motorcycle cop comes buzzing by in the safety lane- i figured maybe to direct traffic- nope- he turns into a Chinese restaraunt... must have been lunch time. It got me to thinking- man what better job then where you can break the law all you want and get away with it.

If you think you have what it takes than by all means go for it. I thought about it and I am still thinking about it. The process of being hired in itself is a pain. Make sure you answer the questions the shrink asks you properly lol. My kids are still too young for me to be away at the academy here for 2-6 months. My issues isn't if I could do it, its being a female and being short lol. I don't want to be a patrol cop. I want to work in forensics but in most departments you need to work your way up. Good luck and remember its not all fun and games and you could lose your life just like with any other high risk job!

Not really baby. Most CSI's being hired these days are 'scientist' : not real cops. But yea like you said they still have to go thru the training.

Well...

CSI's are both sworn police officers and civilians. The longer answer is that most CSI's are sworn officers, but there is a large number of civilians doing the same job. The difference between the two is economics and arrest powers. Police Officers are generally paid at a higher level then the civilian counter parts, they usually have better benefits and have an available career ladder. Civilian CSI's have little career opportunities, less benefits and work in the same dangerous environment as their sworn counterpart.
Theres lots of CSI jobs not all will hire a civilian. Some dept's want sworn officers. And they make more money. I don't really want to work in a lab. I would rather know I can protect my self at a crime scene then just be jane average with a forensics degree.

Actually just so you know, Cops are upheld to oby the law as much as the next guy... You are able to call his tag into the station and have him reported- and yes they really do get in trouble for it- I am the product of a Cop, my dad was a street cop for 18 years, and now is a Sex Crime and Homicide dect. and I am also going into the justice field... and just cause I will be carrying a badge, I can't use it to my advantage.
But hey if you are willing to become a cop and put your life on the line with the rest of us, good for you.. just don't do it for the wrong reasons.

Despite I'm not a fan of cops while on my bike. I do have a lot of respect for them. They do a job I could never do. I'd be in jail for shooting people because I'm tired of coming out to their House for the 7th time because some guy is beating his old lady and she called the cops. Only to beat on the cops when they are trying to take away his old man. I'd just plug them both so they don't dulute the gene pool anymore than they probably have already.

I personally am against the "War on Drugs". I think people should be free to snort coke, shoot heroine, or drink gasoline and set themselves on fire as long as they don't harm others. Because to me a crack head doing crack doesn't affect me. A crackhead breaking into my house to steal my things so he can afford expensive drugs that are expensive do to the high markup becuase of the War on Drugs does affect me.

A friends father did buy some awesome real M-80s from a cop.

I agree with what was said above about becoming a cop is hard work. My aunt is a sheriff, my uncle is a street cop, and my mom is a federal judge so I have been around a lot of officers. My brother is getting his degree in criminal justice and is going to be a cop as well. Its a dangerous job and they do put there lives on the line every day so I have the utmost respect for MOST cops. As far as being against the war on drugs I am 100% with you. In my opinion if there were very lax drug laws crime would go down because a) Drug dealers wouldnt be out shooting cops to get away b) prices would drop dramatically so there would be less chance of 'drug deals gone awry' and people getting shot over it and c) natural selection would come back into play and all the crack heads, H addicts, and meth smokers would smoke themselves to death and die off.

I always say that we need to get the multi-billion dollar drug business out of the hands of drop out thugs and inbred white trash and put into the hands of Harvard Business Grads and MIT Chemical Engineers.

That way when you buy Marijuana you know it isn't laced with PCP. Or if you buy cocaine (Which acts the same way on your brain as Valium and other anti-depressents that are legal for bored housewives to take) it isn't mixed with other dangerous agents that can kill you.

For example look at Prohibition. When is the last time you heard of someone drinking gut-rot moonshine or being killed by a gangster for cheap whiskey? Not since prohibition that's when.

Not to mention all the tax revenue it would bring in. Very good point.
