undertail blues.

Hey folks, first off sorry this is soo long I am VENTING please humor me. I need some opinions about this: I ordered a Hotbodies undertail for my f4i on 6/14/07 thats right 6/14/07 from a local dealer who will remain annonamous lets call them "competition acc.". After taking the catalog from the guy at the counter who had no idea what an undertail was and doing his job for him looking the part up myself I was told it would be 3-5 days delivery. Well 7 days go by and no call, so I call them they say "should be any time, we'll call ya!". 7 MORE days go by I call back "ditto as before". 2 more days I call and talk to manager he calls hotbodies and calls me back saying they had to maunfacture this SOO rare undertail ( sarcasam sarcasam sarcasam) and is not available to ANY dealers untile 7/10/07. I am thinking 7/13 delivery or somthing, right? Well I keep in contact with this manager about every 2-3 days, he most recently tells me that it is due for release from hotbodies on 7/15/07 (a sunday) and that reallisticly it shoud be in may sweaty little fingers by 7/20/07. I call on 7/21 and the kid at the counter says it shows a rlease date of 7/18 and COULD be on its way already.I called today and NO IDEA AT ALL WHEN IT IS COMMING, COULD BE HERE ANY TIME?!!? The manager is however so kind as to offer me 10% off my next purchase!!
I called another dealer they say they can have one in a week and I could cancel the other order. Dont know whats best right now. Very frustrated. Opinions?

Have you paid for it? If not, buy it some place else. If so, demand a refund. If they do not comply, contact your bank (please god tell me you did not pay cash).

Cancel the order, get your money back and buy from somebody else.

Haas--- One hotbodies are overpriced for a common look. The other one, no never seen anyone with one....

The dealer... typical @$$clown dealer... go to someone who cares for their customer.

Other brands u MUST see beofre u buy...

First and best..... Freestreet Designs..... a little costly but unique and u will not see another.. they make it in France and ship to u... timely manner.

Also... Go check out Ermax first too, they make good ABS plastic stuff.....
Freestreet design uses heavy sturdy thick fiberglass. Both are durable. I have a FSD undertail that i love and a Ermax Bellly pan

I've heard a lot of complaints about the Ermax hugger (for the 650R). Mostly the unpainted, and mostly second or third hand complaints. So it could be a rumor, or something specific to that mold.

yeah, cuz everyone with the Z1000 belly pan said they were paerfect. Paint was perfect match and quaility made. I had to modify mine a bit but its made for stock headers, so had to just dremel a little bit to clear the full system, but mine and the first hand reports from owners said they are thicker then hot bodies and at least as nice.

Also they do really good deals for group buys, so look into that on a bike specific forum.
