What to do with a 500EX

I have come into possession of a 2006 ninja 500EX with about 5k miles on it. I was thinking about keeping the engine and some misc parts for a little project I am working on and was wondering what you guys think. Should I keep the engine and part out the rest of the bike or do you think I could should sell the bike whole and just buy a 500 engine? I didnt put this in the For Sale section cause I am not sure if I want to actually sell it yet. Also, do you think if I call up Kawasaki they would let me have an autocad file (not every part just a block to do clearance tests at so forth) of the 500 engine?

If you already have it, I'd part out the rest and keep the engine. Prolly end up in better shape money-wise.

If it were me though, I'd pull the engine for my project, then make an EV EX...

screw that, I'd get creative and find ways to stiffen the frame for the EX, build the motor up some, find ways to improve it, and track that biatch.
