Am I the only one this stupid??

I'm not going to get into all the details, but as I look back over my life (recent events caused me to think back), I realized that I have a very bad habit of knowing that I shouldn't do something, but then doing it anyway. The habit is so bad, that I've had 4 instances of this in just the past month. WTF is wrong with me???? Is there anyone on here that shares this same bad habit?

That doesn't mean you're stupid, it means you're optimistic, and you hope that things turn out differently than you expect they will...

Don't beat yourself up over it.

Sometimes the things you 'shouldn't' do are the most fun! I do stupid chit sometimes, but it was fun at the time.

Unfortunately, the consequences aren't always worth it.

Yep, at least that's what my therapist says

The thing I've found helpful is just being conscious of when these things happen. Recognize that you are in familiar territory and do something different. I've had learn this over the past year. Sometimes the difficult answer is hard, but the rewards are better down the road.

Hang in there, dude

I enjoy my bad habit every morning in the shower. Sometimes in the evening too. Wife always asks "What are you doing in there? I need to wash dishes, clothes etc.." Screw it.

Psst...get a Renei tankless water heater or just a bigger water heater and no one will bother you about it anymore!
