Personally, if I'm going to get a computer and NOT build it myself, I'd buy a Dell over anything. I haven't had any issues with them at all. I would recommend however, NOT to use or create 'restore cds' from the computer. Call Dell, tell them that you had a virus infect your system and it embedded itself into the restore partition and that you need the ORIGINAL discs so you can wipe it and reload it, tell them CompUSA said they needed them to reload your system.
When you get them, wipe and reload the machine, that'll take all the crap off the machine that you'll never use and get you back the approximate 8-10gigs from their restore partition they make.
Other than that, what's the issue? If it's got Vista, I know a lot of people that don't like it but mainly because it's too 'pretty', takes a little getting used to. Watch out with things that you may buy for it too, most things are not compatible and / or slowly becoming compatible.
