FU Best Buy

So yesterday I went online and bought a head unit for the camaro...

I purchased it online through bestbuy.com and set it for in store pick up. I received the 2 emails stating that the head unit was in stock at my location and I could pick it up. I went to the store after work and much to my surprise... they didnt have it in stock at all... the nearest store that had it in stock was actually 30 minutes away, in RUSH HOUR traffic. I was pissed at this point. I made the little puke behind the counter call the other store and guarantee that they had the actual physical item in stock. they confirmed and I went along my merry way. about an hour later I was able to get to the other store... wait in line for about 20 minutes at customer service only to find out that in order to pick up the item I need to repurchase it because the online store pick up program can not be transferred between stores... I flipped my sh*t! started screaming and yelling at the manager and told her if she spoke out of turn one more time I was going to rip out her tongue and choke her with it...

I will never shop at best buy again... DO NOT EVER USE IN STORE PICK UP... ITS BULLSH*T

What was the outcome when she told you that you had to buy it again? Did you? Or did they give it to you without buying again?

Personally, I HATE Best Buy. All the workers there are rude, and I've never had one person (incl a mgr) help me or my Mom when shopping there. I'd rather go to HH Gregg, and that's not saying much!!

The only thing I hate about BB is their return policy. Other than that, they have good prices. I dont need help form the strore employees. When I go in their I know exactly what I want. I dont need some dubmass 17yo sales person trying to sell me something I dont need or want so I tell them I dont want their help.

I really just wanted to get out of there so I just bought it again and called and canceled the online order. I should have the money back from that in a day or so.

Ultimately i should have left and not bought it but I was already so set on getting it and installing it last night that I just sucked it up and rebought it.

As soon as she told me I had to rebuy it though it took every ounce of energy NOT to throw the unit across the entire store. I had my hand on it and was tossing it up and down in my hand but decided not to because I didnt need a lawsuit... not worth my time...

I already knew exactly what I wanted but tried their online store for convienence. not so convienent at all!

Most of the time I would just go to Myer Emco to get stuff like this but my friend who used to manage that place resigned so he is no longer there... i thought I would try best buy because their prices are a little better. It would have been worth paying an extra 20 bucks just to not have to deal with the aggrivation I was caused.

I dont need best buy... for CD's I use Itunes, video games I use EB Games or Gamestop, movies I use block buster or amazon, car and home electronics I can use myer emco... f**k best buy

Except I used to work in retail once upon a time. So whether or not I want them to come up to me and talk my ear off..I still am not rude, I'll listen and say simply "no thanks".

I use to work at Best Buy in my college years. I use to try to get customers mad, it was fun. I actually tried to sell a PS2 to the XBox clerk right before the XBoxs came out. She threw a fit to my manager, but my manager thought it was hilarious and said good job because I was trying to sell products that we had in stock then ones we didn't. I have all kinds of other funny stories, I really liked to get customers to say "I AM NEVER SHOPPING IN HERE AGAIN!" Like they would actually cost the company that much money. People who usually say that nickel and dime for every little thing so not much profit can be drawn from them and not really worth our time dealing with them anyway.

There is even a site that is dedicated to hating BB though.

That's when I start BSing with people. When they say "just looking", the mean "f**k off" so I start telling them all the wonders of Best Buy's wonderful purchase plans, cards, rewards, exchange policies, where the headquarters is located, how many times the store has won awards, and so forth.

Awesome. And you know..if your really READ ppl the right way...you can tell what theyre into..then they'll almost HAVE to stop and let you talk and listen to you...not to mention you walk away with a sale. See, us retailers that used too or still do work on commission..we KNOW the in's and outs!!

Wouldn't work with me, I tried to make you even more angry than you were before you met me. In my retail prime I could read who was having a bad day and made that day much worse. I am evil, what can I say. Retail is a boring job, I had to amuse myself somehow.
