"I want a motorcycle!"

For those that do not know I am a preschool teacher...I just started riding my motorcycle to work this week...which is our staff development week before school starts on Tuesday. One of the teachers brought her two children to work today...I believe they are 5 (girl) and 7-8ish (boy). Anyway I put on my boots, back protector and leather jacket...pick up my helmet and gloves and head for my bike. As I walk through this teacher's class her two kids got all excited and looked at their mom saying "I want a motorcycle!" Mom looks at the two and basically told them no.

I wonder what the parents of my students are going to think if the kids start asking for motorcycles.

My guess is you will get complaints from parents that claim you are setting a bad example. F them though. Dont let them stop you from riding.

If you were my daughter's preschool teacher, I'd say you were the coolest teacher around. I'd also say I liked that my daughter had an example of a woman not afraid to step outside the line. Way to go, Mrs. Colleen.

Get em hooked young rather than cartoons maybe you could get all into motorcycle racing movies culminating in a field trip to real motorcycle race. My little sister loves on any sunday and I took her to a dirt track to see cris carr and all his buds tear it up. My sister is going to be a hardcore biker someday....
