Hurricane Coverage Rant

O.K.....My morning meds haven't kicked in yet....maybe that's why I'm po'ed, but I just wanted to rant about all the TV coverage of the current and past hurricanes. It disturbs me when these weather dudes say "Thank goodness the cat 5 hurricane will miss the US and just slam into Mexico." WTF?. I went through 3 of 'em in 2004. NOT PRETTY. At least my house withstood them...no power for 3 weeks, but at least no major property damage. Those poor Mexicans will loose everything and don't have much to begin with. They're human too. It just really torques me when the press figures.."Oh well, it's hitting Mexico..story over..now to our local forecast".

Rant over.

the truth is, news reporters are inhuman creatures with no compassion or feeling toward human life.
I do feel bad for those mexicans that are gettin hit by the storms, but I really hope the storms do some wonderful destruction where the drug labs are.

Truth for the most part... Ever seen Mad City? It's a decent flick with strong social commentary about the subject... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119592/

Most of the mexicans have already illegally made their way into our country and are stealing our jobs and tax money...

Well, illegal immigration may get worse if they have everything wiped out.

Well, I agree that illegals shouldn't get benefits. As far as jobs, at least here in Florida, Mexicans are the only ones that'll pick the fruit and lay sod along the highways. I do a lot of payroll audits. It's very obvious that Mexicans will work seven days a week and always show up. Foremen complain all the time that American workers in these "****" jobs last a day or two and quit.

I find it ironic that many of the "victims" of Katrina in New orleans who loudly complain that the "gubment" ain't doing enough fast enough are people who were raised on public assistance and never worked a day in their lives.

Use non-violent criminals as physical labor... They don't have a choice, but to show up every day.
