I've got 14 points on my liscence. cheers!

coming October ninth (through april 6, i believe) i'll have a six month driving suspension, damn. let me tally my infractions

speeding (2 pts)
speeding (2 pts)
reckless operation [at deals gap, passing a cop on a double yellow, yuck it up] (2 pts)
failure to stop at a red light [ i DID stop, completely, but i was hung over and on my way to work, and something told me the light was a 4 way stop, and i went right through it with a cop sitting behind me]
(2 pts)

and finally, a DUS, because when i paid my reckless op ticket, i didn't send enough money in the check, and since the letter notifying me of this went to an address i no longer reside in, i never got any notice.

bad news... i'll have to apply for driving persiflages so i can get to and from work/school... no big deal, i really dont do much other than that anyways.

good news? come april i'll have 0 points on my license again... just in time for the 08 riding season.

heres to hoping i have a more intelligent 08 riding season!

Wow man that sucks. Good luck making it through the winter. Does the bike count if you are commuting?

Can't you take a defensive drivers course to loose some points?
In ND you can take one a year, and it takes 3 points off every time
It's a thought!

its almost a relief, cause after this DUS i knew i was in trouble. better to have a suspension over 6 months of (mostly) un-ridable weather then have to constantly worry about getting pulled over and risk taking my attention off the road for the next 2 years.

actually, that whole, stopping at a red light then going like its a four way stop...my hubby does the same thing quite often, then he gets to listen to me scream!! Thankfully its usually in the wee hours so there isnt any traffic!!

So he isnt alone!

i've had my license suspended twice and lost it at age 16. i was eligible to re-apply for a DL on my 25th birthday.

afterwards, i again accumulated several 4 point violations accompanied with several 2 pointers. a good traffic attorney brought it down to 4 points total.

i recommend spending the money on a good attorney. i'm surprised you haven't been solicited yet.
