I'm Back

So I moved out of Flagstaff about 7 months ago. Which is when I stoped DJ'ing at the club I was working at. Now that I am starting to get into the slow season I was thinking about going back to bartending or DJ'ing, when I get this call from the owner of my former club/bar. He tells me that he needs a new DJ, and want's to know what I want to come back. I guess that his new guy, my replacement from the local radio station, wasn't working out.

So this week I started back to my old bit for cash and a tab. So far I'm enjoying it. The new crowds, the new employees, and so on.

I like this bar because of the diversity. For example, on wednesday I play everything from hip hop to classic rock for the college crowds that endulge in 10 cent beers and $2 u-call-its. On the weekends there are live bands that play country, classic rock, and southern rock.

Anyway I was currious as what you all would like to hear in your local club. I have been out of the top hits scene since I quit. Any input ould be apreciated.

Which club/bar are you workin at?
No country music for me please. I haven't been in any bars or clubs or anything really since I've been here but I was at a party with a local reggae band playing and that was a pretty cool change from the top 50 hits kinda music.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

I like metal... Not usually so good for the club scene... However, KMFDM can be danced to...

Not back here, back to the club.

It is called The Museum Club.

A country bar on all nights but Wednesday when I play whatever I want (or what the croud wants).

I agree with you OSP, but your right seldom do people dance to metal.

Haha oh. Well I've never heard of the Museum Club...

And by the way, I too like metal but most people will not enjoy it in a club. I'm not even supposed to play it at the coffee shop.

It is on the east side. Most of the collage crowd comes out for the 10 cent beers.

I got the DJ to play some Slipknot, KMFDM, and Reverend Horton Heat at the bar recently... Same night of the fireballs if you saw that thread...

10 cent beers? I thought that was a typo... That's awesome... I'd totally come out for that chit too... I bet the bar staff gets MAD tips that night...

Last week I sliped in Lincoln Park, Crazy Town, Authority Zero, just about anything I could think of for the hell of it.

The girls usually do well. (remember drunk people forget about what bills they give and then say "keep it cutie")

I also was quite amused by the black guys dancing to Garth Brooks. Fallowed shortley by the cowboys dancing to Eminem. I like f***ing with the crowd like that.
