I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that jumping up on the hood and putting a bunch of rounds into the driver through the windshield is NOT proper police procedure. . .

However, very very cool

Maybe he jumped on the hood because the driver tried to run him over?? Maybe he did what he had to do to go home from his shift?!?

Sucks to be the criminal

The second that officer was on the hood of the car and the driver hit the gas, that was attempted murder.

still think its bullchit for deadly force, since he put himself in that situation.

I think the guy was wanted on drug or murder charges. If I remember the news story correctly, he had a neighbor in the passenger seat who had no idea what was going on....basically, the cop tried to pull them over, and the driver took off....neighbor was basically like

The passenger lived through all that.

EDIT: Found the news story!!

I disagree with Trip. A car is considered deadly force and therefor he re-acted with the same amount of force. Its just the cop was better at it!!

I dunno... What we don't see is how he got on the hood in the first place...

If you read the news story that I posted, the cop was struck by the car, and ended up on the hood. He then responded with deadly force.

Good point, plus if he was a known murderer and not just a guy out for a joy ride, then f**k him.

Glad to see the story that went with that.

And he probably didn't ram him the first time because of police procedure. They most likely have to have probable cause (or permission) to ram the vehicle.

Surrender the booty, and let me get my hands on that beautiful treasure chest!!

One of these days, I'll actually buy a bike again...

Ha I actually work in Blue Ash Ohio that road is right down from where I work... The guy had already rammed police cars, that is why the officer shot.

lol that was awesome. I'll admit that they could have taken him without going all halo 3 on his ass but like said before the second the officer was either hit by the car or on te car and they guy hit the gas its attempted murder. Cop was completely in the right to blow him away. I think the reason he didn't ram him the first time at like a minute and 33 seconds is because he was kinda waiting on some backup. When he said on the radio that he was going to take him out that was after other officers had some time to respond.
