Got DirecTV? Got HD?

DirecTV activated a bunch of additional HD channels this morning.

I have cable and been unhappy with some of the changes they made recently to the tv listings, I may do some research to see how many more HD channels DirectTV offers.

both dish and directv are supposed to be expanding... dish rite now has 33 vs directv 31... but directv has a lot better 31. like showtime, starz... etc.

My folks made the change because they just kept raising the rates... No competition will do that... They raised my folks three times in one year for a total of $15/month... And nothing with their service changed... at all.

prices are great on my cable, it's they keep changing the damn channel selection every 2 months as well as the lineup without increasing channels, just deleting some channels that get no ratings and replacing them with even crappier channels I will never watch. Just when I learn my favorite channels, they change them all and put them in weird orders so I don't know where anything is on the listings. If I didn't have a HD DVR receiver that has the listing, I would never find channels I wanted to watch...

Same thing I'm going through right now with cable.

I have DirectTV scheduled for Sunday October 7th between 8 am and 12 pm for an install with 5 tuners.

I don't have HD yet...maybe next year.

No...I don't think these are dual tuners.

When looking into Dish Network they were dual tuners.

I once had cable going to 4 TVs stack on top of each other during one football season. Had the best game on the big 50", the next best on a 36", a video game system rocking whatever the best ncaa football game was at the time on another 36" or another game, and lastly a little 20" with the worst game on it. So we had ABC's game going, CBS and the SEC, ESPN, and ESPN2 normally. Wish I still had that setup. It was great. The 50" could also split and had a dual tuner setup so we could put two games on it too.

I had a similar setup for a while, but with smaller, less cool TV's...
