Bush is a tool

This is just another example of how our government if ****ed thanks to 'campaign donations' and underhanded deals between presidents and private companies.

Quote:
Four million uninsured children could qualify for coverage thanks to yesterday's Congressional approval of an expanded State Children's Health Insurance Program.

They could qualify -- but they almost certainly won't. The measure passed the House of Representatives by a 265-159 vote, falling short of the majority needed to override President Bush's promised veto.

Bush says the expansion, which would come at a cost of $35 billion over five years, is too expensive, relies too heavily on tobacco taxes and -- critically -- would encourage families to get cheap government help when they could to buy private insurance.

To an extent, Bush is right -- the Congressional Budget Office estimates that two million alread-insured middle-class kids would switch to the government plan. But that seems an acceptable price to pay to extend coverage to four million uninsured children -- especially since these families already-covered families fall into an income bracket (between $41,000 and $61,000 for a family of four) that doesn't exactly make buying insurance easy.

And just for perspective on the $35 billion: it amounts to slightly more than the United States will spend on the Iraq war over the next three months.
What really pisses me off is that when campaigning he said that expanding government aided health care to children was a 'priority' of his.

Kerry would have pulled military out of Iraq
Iraq's hate Americans, only dumb a$$ thinks Iraq's will convert to American system. When military pulls out, which will happen some day. Iraq will revert right back to old Iraq way of life.

Kerry would have made a mess of everything.

I dont like the deal with Iraq either, but we just cant pull out. The place would implode if we did and be took over by all the ppl we dont wont there. I dont think is a convert them to our way thing, its their govt sux n their army is weak. I agree we dont need as many troops there as we have. But as long as we are there I will support our troops regardless.

And not saying Kerry would have been any better he is an idiot too. I don't think we should have ever 'officially' gone to Iraq, thats what the CIA is for. Just like we did back in the day in all the central america countries. We should have assassinated those who needed to be dealt with and 'suggested' who should have taken over. But lets not turn this into an Iraq debate.

It would be different if this was for everyone but its just for children, there idiot parents can bleed to death but the kids should at least be able to go to the doctor rather than there parents saying 'we dont have health insurance for you so just deal with it'

I still don't want to pay for the idiots children, they will grow up to be idiots as well.

You already pay for poor folks children and there is nothing wrong with that. Kids can't help who they are born too and it is the respensibility of society to care for defenseless children. There is something to be gained by give and take in society and rich folks don't get rich all by themselves they live offf the bounty of society which includes poor children so there is no reason why you shouldn't have to give back....

Sadam still in power we would be still paying $1.50 or less for gas. Bush's Iraq crap has cost American's penty. Not to mention wasted lives and injured military people.
When you travel outside America, you can really see world hating us over Bush's Iraq policy
