Well it depends what he hacked. Depends on how long it takes the webmaster to realize the sites down. If they have a back up (Which they should) Not too long to be back up and running.

My website was hacked a couple months after it first went up. The hosting service I use stores the backups on the same server as the pages so it took a couple days to get it back up because normally you would just restore it with the backup (which should be kept on a different server and thus not be hacked at the same time). If that's not the case it shouldn't take them long to restore it once they realize there's a problem (a couple clicks I think).

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

tat or it was hacked b4 the current backups were made. Or their security sucked.

My server saves the backups to the server and then I download them to my local server.

But still they sound as tho they suck n ya need a better one like B_M said

I checked it out earlier today but didn't think to take a snapshot or anything.

It was just a bunch of nonsense about the islamic god and the coming of the this and that... bunch of crap.

Nowhere near as cool as specs about a set of ohlins superbike forks... now THAT's some cool chit...

I'm waiting for the boyfriend to get a new computer and then we'll use it as a server and host it ourselves. Until then, the host service is very bad but it's also cheap. And yes, their security sucks.

Anyways, my point was, it shouldn't take long to restore a site once it's hacked but sh*t does happen.

I try to stay away from the ohlins website. That stuff is SOO nice and SOO outa my price range, it makes me cry just thinking about it.

Back up and Back up often!!!

Back up and back up often. It's not a matter of if its a matter of when. After I finish my degree in programming I'm going on to get my Bach. in Information Security Systems. And Brie if they are keeping your backups on the same server as the one that got hacked thats not smart at all. At the very least they should have a back up off site.
