Deer + Motorcycle = a OH SH**

I didn't see the little mofo's (4 of 'em)until I was on top of them. I Locked up the brakes...Thank God I was only going 45 and there was no other traffic on the road.THAT could have been nasty.

I am awake now.

Glad you didn't plow into the fluckers! I had a close cal the other day- bugger was moving same direction as me, trying to hop over the bank on the side of the road. Didn't even realize what it was till I was way too close.

I'm gonna spend some money today. First on a louder exhaust. Next on a light bar. That was some scary stuff.

When I was teaching my wife to ride we were on a back road...actually a big industrial park with alot of woods and natural landscaping all around and as I glanced to the side with the wife following me I saw a deer standing there watching us ...luckily it didn't come out to cross the road until we had passed. The wife didn't see it until it was crossing behind us because I pulled over...stopped and pointed back at it.

Good lesson though. You can tell people/new riders about deer all day long but until they actually see one it may not register.

I almost hit one... twice this past weekend... One was on the side of the road with his little friend... the other was dead in the middle of the road... Flashing my lights and honking my horn did nothing... I had to clutch and rev the piss out of it, and the deer took off... Air horn is in order.
