Mr. Bear: Bacon Thief

My cat is fluckin' crazy...

I was cookin' breakfast and 'ing... Each time I went back to check on my bacon, I noticed something strange... It seemed as though the pieces were moved around and/or missing... Though my cat was no where to be found...

So the last time I go to check/flip the bacon... I note that it's very obvious that a big strip is missing... Then I hear it... the smacking of cat lips... I look under the table and there he is... My cat, chomping on some bacon... Crazy flucker.

Yeah right... You think he'd let me forget that chit... Every day I wake up with a 17lb cat on my chest, sniffing my face and meowing so I will feed him. He's a glutton.

Nope... He just knows that it's effective... His wiskers tickle my face and it wakes me up... It's been an evolution of sorts... how he wakes me up...

It started with him just sitting by the bedroom door and meowing... that worked for a while... Then he sat on the foot of the bed and meowed... Once that stopped working, he started walking across me and meowing... then he would get on the dresser and knocked stuff off onto the floor... and a combination of all of the above...

Once that stopped being effective, he started jumping off the dresser onto the bed next to me... THAT was effective for a long time... The one day it didn't work, he jumped from the tall dresser RIGHT ON ME... Of course, a bigass cat landing on your back is sure to work. The next day he did the same thing, only landing on my side and knocking the wind out of me. He didn't get fed that day for 4 hours and learned his lesson.

Somehow he figured out that sniffing my face is 100% effective... The little tickles drive me nuts and MAKE me get up. Clever bastard.

This one day... I was thawing steaks on the counter... had them out and was going to cook them shorty. I put out 4 (so I thought). Later i went to cook them and there were only 3. UM... ok... maybe I was just wrong.

Cooked them. Wife got home and we had dinner. We heard a cat in the hallway making racket...

The wife went in the hallway... "There is a steak in the hallway!"

with a missed beat I yelled "I KNEW THERE WAS 4!!!!"

Dang Avril!

No you don't, I hate them. Down with cats, hell down with pets. The only good animal is the one that is tasty when cooked.

The GF has cats... I do not.
Her cats learned quickly to give me a wide berth.
When they do something to annoy me, or get into/onto something they aren't supposed to, they bounce off a wall.

They are learning... slowly...
I can't wait till next week when I can throw them outside!
