So... I'm moving to FL...

I was offered a position with my company in FL... Orlando to be exact. 20% increase in salary, cool title, and I am sure a ton more stress. But hey, I'll be able to ride year round... just no twisties.

So umm yeah... is up with FL?

Hey man, when opportunity knocks and is offering a chance to step up, make a name for myself, and has a nice relocation package (I should clear a couple grand once everything's said and done)... whatchagonnado?

They want me there as soon as Nov. 1st. So that's what it looks like...

Ok... here's the package...

They pay for the entire move... my chit, my truck, and my bike. I don't have to pack anything... They ship and hold all my chit for one month or until I make arrangements for myself, whichever comes first. I can choose to drive down myself and they'll give me $0.36/mile. I am going to do this because I would worry about my cat being stowed away under a plane. Haven't decided if it's gonna be my bike in the back of the truck, or just have them ship it.

On top of that, they put me up in some sort of (pimp) corporate housing for one month, or will pay me for what that costs and I have to make my own housing arrangements (they guessed it would be about $1,500... taxed). I also get $750 food allowance for the month... that's just a straight tax-free check, bang, in my pocket. I also get another $100 for laundry and telephone... that's another tax-free check. Beyond that, I also get a $1,500 relocation bonus, which is taxed out the ass.

Oh, did I mention on top of the 20% pay increase, I will also get another $10k in additional bonus potential.
