Scientists find an HIV cure

This isnt just some joke, at least I honestly pray it isnt. the scientists at the University of Copenhagen have found a way to treat and cure the HIV virus, not AIDS, but HIV. it isnt perfect, but its a damn good start for those who have this terrible illness.

oh Trip, how can you say that?? It's not all about loose morals winning!

Maybe when HIV and AIDS first came out that was a factor, but now you have people who are born with it, people who got it from contact by other bodily fluids, etc etc...many of those who had these so called "loose morals" are already dead from their bad decisions anyway...does it still go on, yeah, but dont condemn everyone as a bad egg...

Either way, I still think this is a WAY Better alternative than dying from the disease. If I had HIV, I'd definately go for this, just because it would give new hope.

At least its a great beginning to curing the disease, and allowing many to survive happily. might not be a 100% cure, but it definately means we're on our way to one.

I dont think loose morals play into things you cant anticipate, and that are beyond our control, like your child being born with HIV, or a partner who didnt tell you or worse, doesnt know themselves.

Children born infected and partners/spouses getting infected by their unfaithful other half are the greatest tragedies .....more of that than people realize.

I agree Rae. Children have no choice when they are born with hiv. Look its been a good 25 years since HIV became so widely known. For alot of people it is one bad decision that ruins a life. It could happen to anyone. You never know. Some people have HIV and do not know for years. Best thing people can do is be safe but nothing is 100%

I've always felt that if someone knows they are infected and does not tell their sex partner, it should be treated the same as 1st degree murder if the unwitting partner becomes infected.....or at least 1st degree attempted murder.

No, it's called "Owning the hospital". Hospitals don't use dirty needles...you just get fatal staph infections, and maybe have the wrong limb amputated. But, they don't use dirty needles. Ain't that comforting???

Dirty needles and tainted blood supplies has been an issue in developing countries for decades as many people in china and africa for example, don't understand the need for absolute caution when dealing with blood instruments.

Get a clue dude. It's not all a big black and white moral issue. Take the time to read up on the effects the virus has had on countries other than your own, as wild an idea as that may be. It's not all gays that have it and it can't all be blamed on them anymore, in this country or anywhere else.

This is why they keep politics off this forum.

Ha ha you are funny. Why they keep politics off this forum is because of people like you. Who take things too seriously and go overboard. Joke, man, joke.

I can't believe people still take me serious. After 9000 posts, you think they would learn.
