We PASSED!!!!!

The MSF Course!!!!

Once again, MTP out performed me. He is quite pleased with himself (but that is only because it is a rare thing).

I had trouble doing the 2 U turns inside the box. Off to DMV next week and then I will officially be licensed!

CT is azz backwards! You take this course, get a waiver, have to bring it to the bowels of DMV, take a short written test but the driving part is waived and then you get your license. In MA you do like in your state, take the course and the license comes in the mail.

And I will have nightmares about that stupid U turn for months. I didn't drop the bike, or put my foot down but I did go outside the box.

congrats!!!

I put my foot down on the first 2 tries then I got it, it's NOT an easy feat.

I hope you guys get an easy fall so you can get out there and get some miles under your helmet.

GO PATS!!! GO RED SOX!!!

did I mention I'm from New England too, would you believe from Lynn, MA?!

Good question Vator. I would like a Honda Shadow 750, although seeing the people on the sport bikes through the course, it makes me wonder if I would rather have a sport bike. They definitely had an easier time through corners and overall handling. The original intention though was for cruisers.

MTP likes BMW's - not really sure what he wants.

We start shopping this week - that is if I can get out of work prior to 8 PM any night this week

I hope so too! So far so good. Lynn, MA huh? The weather is definitely more suited to riding in Florida but do you miss all the hilly, twisty roads?

Congrats to both you Bfly and Mike

Back when I got my MC endorsement, PA had you do figure 8's around two cones. You had to do three of them.

I go and do three and ride back to the instructor ( state police officer ). He tells me "that was only two, do it again". I go and do three more. I ride back and he says thats was only two.

So I go and do five and come back. He chuckled and said " That's enough".

Then it was drive up to the end of the parking lot while up shifting three gears. I did it on my '74 H1 500. I must have been at 1200 rpm in 3 rd gear when I down shifted to make the turn. Two strokes don't like low rpms

Once again,
Congrats
Jeff

Man I can't wait to take my MSF. Texas is like that, you take the course get a waiver and then take the written test.

I have been riding my bike around town just getting used to it. So far the only real problem I have is feeling out the friction points with the clutch and throttle. Other then that it just feels natural.
