This one actually makes sense because it was an official government function. Being a government employee myself, being original and humorous is frowned upon. Honestly, this idiot should of known better.

It was halloween... It was a fundraiser (for the CFC no-less). It's just a costume....

I do believe there are too many easily offended people in America. Every thing is picked apart. Sometimes it's a name or a symbol or a costume. You don't have to be protected from every possible scenario people.

They make chocolate sculptures of Jesus, poke all kinds of fun at the Pope, portray God in every way possible, but a slang word, or a rebel flag, Halloween costume causes a furor? Draw a picture of Mohammed or portray Allah and someone gets killed? You can use God's name in vain but heaven forbid you use an American Indian Mascot?

How in the world did we get this far?

I would love for someone to stand up-say F' y'all. That s**t was funny. Ever wonder why no one apologizes until they are caught?

What Vater is trying to say is that everyone always retreats so quickly. Why not instead of groveling for redemption and forgiveness say something like. "Deal with it". Or tell them to get offended over something real not something anyone says or even does if it does you no harm. Like getting called a name on the play ground you dont even have to respond...

True. Could also be that the sensitivity tuner is cranked up a bit too much... Too many people have gotten media attention because they themselves said they were 'offended' just for the extra attention.

Kinda follows a lot of the frivilous lawsuits that plague the justice/court system.

C'mon. You know better than that. I'm offended by almost nothing.

I stopped reading at -

"The Department of Homeland Security will investigate a Halloween costume party"

This is what our country has come to. All of us should be ashamed for allowing this sort of goverment involvment and control in our lives. Just last week, the IRS investgated a funny smell in my garage. This has got to stop!
