It's clear how the public views us

Could this news station be any more obvious with their hatred of sportsbikes?

Police say daredevil motorcyclists turning violent

Last Update: 11/05 10:17 am
ST. LOUIS (AP) - For nearly a decade, extreme motorcyclists have been causing concern for St. Louis area motorists, popping wheelies, standing on bikes, zipping in and out of traffic.

Now, authorities say, some are turning violent.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that on Oct. 28, an SUV driver near the city's Soulard area reported that dozens of motorcyclists surrounded her vehicle and threw a brick through the back window.

Earlier that day, in Maryland Heights, a man on Interstate 270 phoned 911 for help, telling authorities about 50 bikers were harassing him, and some were kicking his car.

No arrests have been made in either case.

Sounds like bias to me. The whole point of this news story is to get people to hate motorcyclists more.

Like I said in the whore thread, The douchebags probably deserved it, more than likely they ran some people off the road or nearly killed them while doing the usual everything but paying attention to WTF they are doing type of driving that 75% of cagers do every day, and they finally got retaliated on. How many news stories have they printed on douchebag drivers? Probably none, because they are all over their cell phones and laptops while they drive oblivious down the highway.

I never seen 50+ cagers gang up on a biker either

And you see/hear about road rage all the time. But I agree most dont pay attention to wtf is going on around them. Hell they worry me when I am in my cage

As bikers its our responsible to look out for them dumbasses, not the other way around because they aint going too and in the end who is gonna get hurt? Us, they will get a slight dent in their car.

I see your point you just have a bad example

with you 100% Pickle. The media will go to great lengths to write something negative about sportbike riders.

It's not like sportbike riders give them much other choice, do they?

It is us vs. them. We are the enemy. Every story they can dig up like this brings us 1 step closer to being banned.

What you fail to realize and marko prolly can verify this. The media is going to report what will get then ratings, f*ck if its completely true or a true representation of the group as a whole, regardless of the group.

I agree that something is missing, but with the us vs. them mentallity that just makes it worse. Kinda like adding fuel to the fire. Stay alert stay alive. And from the statement "Extreme" that to me means irresponsible. There's a time and a place to show off wheelies, stunts, and speed. Highway with population is not it.

Reporters aren't going to report false information...atleast not to their knowledge. However, newsrooms are driven by the sales department. Like it or not...our advertising pays our bills. So newsrooms report on things that make ratings. Sensationalism.

Saying that a highway has been terrorized by motorcycles doing wheelies and stuff for 10 years doesn't seem to be completely untrue to me. It's possible. Is it a representative of the community as a whole? Of course not.

For some reason I don't believe that's completely accurate, so I fixed it for ya...

Wasn't Dan Rather the one pushing that faked memo of Bush's natl. guard service???? And got all in a huff-and-tuff mood during the 04 elections? I remember watching that and thinking "when you ahve soemone w/ such a lopsided view, how can you honestly accurately portray the news?"
