As much as I hate the pretentious prick.... Dave Mustaine freakin rocks the guitar!

Kerry King too, while being much less of an a-hole than DM.

Cool Clip Spaniard. That guy has some mad skills on that base. But from his playing style he must have some Banjo backround(Laugh all you want the Banjo takes some mad skills to play. And a screw up on a Banjo magnifies like crazy). And I've always enjoyed Classical.

Another guitarist that I think is pretty damn good is Jack White from "The White Stripes". First time I ever really paid attention to them was when they spent a week at the Conan O'Brien show. Check out the Slide Solo at the end of this clip...

And Meg White (Jack White's Sister) is pretty amazing on drums too. Which the main thing I like about their music is how simple it is (Consisting of lead guitar and drums much of the time) and how much it can rock. Gotta love the Blues!!!

And I also find Flamenco Guitar style crazy too.

Simplicity Rules! I remember when I saw the Stray Cats live in 2003. Three guys that were so damned raucous. Brian Setzer can light up the strings too!

FYI - Meg White has some unslung heroes in her blouse.

I noticed that. Unslung boobies FTW

I've also heard that Brad Paisley is an awesome guitarist and probably one of the best out there right now. I haven't heard any of his stuff but some guitarists I know saw him in concert and said he did some songs that were insane.

Same thing for John Mayer. I believe he is suppose to be a pretty damn good guitarist. And he also has a SRV tattooed on his shoulder becuase Stevie Ray Vaughan is his guitar hero.

In all Honesty your best guitarists are probably unheard of. Many of them become Studio Guitarists or do styles of Guitar that just aren't mainstream and unless you are into the Technical aspect of Music you'd never know who they are.
