Unfortunately I won't be back in full force for some time... The story is cloudy as lots of time has passed, but here's the bullet points:

Nov 1: Movers come in, pack and take all my chit. Per my request, they don't pack my matress and a few other items including many of my clothes. After work I have a few people over to my empty apartment and we end up at a buddies house. Ended up finishing my last beer at 6:45am, after nailing a co-worker who apparently has been sweatin' me for quite some time.

Nov 2: Originally planned to get out of town around 9am. BZZT! Try Noon. Turns out the few items I planned on taking myself was much more than I thought. Tossed my matress, which was the original plan, but otherwise I had to leave the cat carrier because my truck was literally at capacity. I could not snap all of the closures on my tonneau cover (5 of them). Me and The Bear hit the road at 12:04pm.

The drive down was boring enough. Talked to Drewpy a couple times, saw a semi-truck flipped over, and used the time to make some phone calls. End up at the ExtendedStay America Hotel at 3:24am... and it's not open. Apparently extended stay's have 'business hours' unlike regular hotels. I sleep with The Bear in the parking lot until just after 7am when the fountain in the pond comes on and wakes me up. Check it and pass out.

Nov 3/4: Spent these days driving around, trying to get a feel for Orlando. Found out that Google Maps is a dirty bastard liar and my '25' minute commute to work, will actually be a 45+ minute commute.

Nov 5-11: Crazy first week. I was never told what time to be at work my first day, so I arbitrarily selected 9am... sounded reasonable to me. Well, about 10 minutes away from the office, my boss returns my call from the previous day to tell me 11am would be fine AND we have a client visit. My award winning personality got me through the initial introductions without the benefit of actually having anyone there in which I have ever spoken to. Client was there Mon and Tues... 27 hours of work my first two days... terrible.

Weds, I found a place to live... searched like a dozen apartments... not terribly excited about any of them... and I happened upon this condo allotment... lotsa for rent signs. The first place that picks up the phone, I am talking about putting a deposit down on... had everything I wanted including the clincher, an attached garage. Only worked 6 hours that day.

Thurs/Fri... ANOTHER CLIENT VISIT!!! Fluck me running. Had to break away from them for an hour to put a deposit down on a condo I have never seen the inside of. Worked 25 hours between those two days.

Saturday I meet the agent at the condo to sign the lease... I pack up all my crap (including the cat) and check out of the extended stay place. Upon meeting the guy at the condo, he gives me a tour. Everything is MONEY... so happy... Then he shows me the view of the golf course in the back... along with... THE FLUCKING TRAIN TRACKS no more than 30 feet from the back door. Whatever, still a good deal. After signing the lease, I take out my video camera to do a walkthrough... and experience my first train. Not terrible.

Biggest problem with the place... no electricity... no furniture... and as I found at 4:15am my first night, dude LOVES to jam the horn while passing by the back of my place.

Nov 12-16: Cold showers and sleeping on the floor wearing thin, it's time to fly back across the country to New Jersey for a managers meeting at the home office. That was actually pretty cool, but the whole "I have no chit, no electricity, and everything else" wore on me.

Nov 17/18: Back in Whorlando, no electricity... but I did buy a bed Saturday morning. At least I can sleep somewhat comfortably... starting to get used to the train.

Turkey week: Electricity on Monday. Movers in Tuesday. 3 hour drive to Cape Coral for Thanksgiving on Wednesday. Thursday, turkey, home, 3am wake up vomiting. Friday work, leave early, more vomit through Sunday.

And here we are... Yesterday work, as with today. Haven't really unpacked a whole lot. Figured out today that my bike with a Salvage Title cannot be registered in FL... Insurance company offered to buy it back. Already looking at new bikes...

What I've learned:

1. Moving sucks, don't do it.
2. No amount of preparation is enough. See #1.
3. I love latino chicks.
4. FL chicks, much more than Ohio chicks, have fantastic asses. Seriously.
5. Unpacking sucks. Again, refer to #1.
6. The next door neighbors cat looks EXACTLY like my cat... like, I spent a half hour one day trying to get him to come to me cause I thought my cat somehow got out.
7. Me and the Buell were just not meant to be.
8. I have 4 solid wireless connections within range for me to steal (if I have my 27dB antenna hooked up).
9. Beer is much more expensive here.
10. Old Cutlass' on 26" rims are like azzholes around here... and they look terrible.

Welcome back duder, wasn't the same without ya. Amusing write up.

Look out for porn chicks down there, apparently they film all kinds of porn there, saw it on dateline I think.
What kind of bike you looking for next? Explore outside of buell dude, there's plenty of other great vtwin bikes, test out a Suzuki SV1000. Bike theft is pretty hardcore down there though, might want to invest in a lojack if you do buy new.

You hit the weather jackpot, you moved down there almost exactly when the weather started going downhill up here.

Keep up the updates.

edit; oh yeah, hope you didn't buy too nice of a place. A nice neightborhood in orlando is finding live WW2 mines and chit near school and homes.

ORLANDO, Florida (Reuters) - Residents of an Orlando neighborhood of $500,000 homes are stepping gingerly these days since finding live World War II explosives next to a middle school, a day care center, homes and businesses.

pr0no chicks and OSP go together like peas and carrots.

And Buell at this point is not even an option... CHEAP is the option for now. That's why I am looking at motards... cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, plus there are lotsa medians and whatnot to jump and terrorize...

It was hot as fluck here today... like 80. I am way too fat for this weather.

So far so good... I opened every box to do a quick inspection, but I haven't gotten very far with the unpacking.

I've decided it's not fat guy weather down here, so I am going to try to slim down for summer... Otherwise I'll probably die.
