Question for all police officers, ex-officers or officers in training...

I'm taking the written test (the first step in the selection process) for Indiana State Police next week. Just wondering if any troopers, patrolmen or deputies (even if no longer with the force) have any suggestions for preparing for the test. From my understanding, it's a memorization type test, but I thought I'd see if anyone has any suggestions or info that may help.

Also, what do (or did) you like and/or hate about the job?

Most states you gotta be 21, and yeah if your ex military you can turn in military forms to skip the process for a license to care or to conceal!

Not positive on that. There is a min and max range for you to become a trooper (21-40), but not sure about age limitation on firearms.

Or he'll know where to hurt you the most.

State Patrol - "Should we put spike strips out?"
Officer CM - "No. He can avoid those. Shoot his front tire out. It'll be more entertaining too. Plus I know the guy."

One funny buddy cop story was a buddy of mine has a friend who is a cop. But he's such a stoner he can't remember. While going down the road on his bike he saw blue lights and bolted. He gets back to his house and puts his bike in his living room. He gets a knock on the door and opens it then saw his buddy. And then his buddy asked him "Why did you run". Apparently he was carrying some crap on him.

I can't help you much considering I'm on the other side of the issue. But odds are don't do what you see on Cops. I've heard those cops break so many rules and do so much wrong. Well technically wrong even though it's accepted because it works.
