40,000 lbs. of beer spills

Quote:
CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP - Beer.... all over the highway in Kalamazoo County.

That's what sheriff's deputies found on I-94 in Charleston Township when the tire of a semi blew out causing the driver to lose control near the 40th St. bridge.

The westbound lanes of I-94 were shutdown for five hours early Wednesday while workers cleaned nearly 40,000 pounds of packaged beer off the highway.

The driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatning injuries.

I would have like to have been on the clean up crew for this one.

If you could find a straw truck going by you'd be in business.

I wonder if that's like when they drop a case of beer in the warehouse and they throw it away... Did they sell that beer or was it tossed?
